  • Q

Can Herim help with the visa procedure?

    • A

Herim is pleased to provide invitation letters that can be presented to the embassy to assist with the visa process.
Students may require a Short-Term General Visa (C-3) for temporary visitation purposes.
This type of visa is typically appropriate for visits lasting up to 90 days and is granted for various purposes such as tourism, business, or cultural exchange programs.
It's important to note that visa requirements can vary based on factors such as the country of origin and the intended length of stay,
so we recommend checking with the Korean embassy or consulate in the teenager's country of residence for more specific information and
guidance on the appropriate visa type to obtain. To check the status of your Korea Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA) visa,
you can visit the official website of the Korea Visa Portal at https://www.visa.go.kr/.Once on the website, select the "Check Application Status" option,
enter your application number and passport information, and click on "Search" to view the status of your K-ETA visa application.
If you encounter any issues or have questions about the K-ETA visa application process, you may contact the Korean embassy or consulate in your country for assistance.

  • Q

What is the mobile phone policy for the attendants?

    • A

We would like to inform all students that they are encouraged to bring their cell phones to the camp and,
if they wish, they can request the camp staff to keep them safe. However, in the event that students choose not to do so, they assume full responsibility for ensuring
that their phones are not misplaced or lost. Moreover, we welcome students to take pictures of memorable moments throughout their time at the camp.
However, during critical sessions such as instruction, the camp staff will request that students refrain from using their phones and keep them safely stowed away.
We kindly ask all students to respect this policy for the benefit of all participants.

  • Q

How much pocket money should a camper bring?

    • A

The amount of pocket money the teenagers should bring will depend on their personal spending habits and any additional expenses they may incur.
As a general guideline, a reasonable amount of pocket money for two weeks could be around 100,000 to 200,000 Korean won, or approximately $85 to $170 USD.
This amount should be enough to cover any personal expenses such as souvenirs, snacks, and extra activities not included in the camp program.

  • Q

Who takes care of the pocket money?

    • A

It basically works just like a bank, without all the extra charges.
Upon arriving at camp the camper deposits his or her pocket money at the office, and a record is kept by the camper and the office.
Money can be withdrawn before an excursion. To avoid problems with exchanging foreign currency we advise that campers bring Euros with them in a sealed envelope.
Upon arrival, they should deposit their money at the camp office.
